Pictures of your home-made coops and runs!

Looking at all of these great coops makes me want to redo the second hand one we bought or at least add on to it lol It has since been painted green to fit in with the area it is in so it doesn't stick out so much, has been fenced all around it too. It is fairly roomy in there but my 6 BR chicks (now 13 days old) won't have anywhere to roost in there when they finally get to move in there & finding a space to put nesting boxes is driving me insane

. Was thinking of building an add on to it on the right hand side of it that will give it some more height = room for roosts ..... any ideas appreciated from any of you wonderful coop builders!

Nice work, wwdubose!! Looks like we have similar coop building aspirations. Love what you've done with doors and windows. Looking forward to seeing the exterior.

I'm getting closer to finishing mine. Needed to move to the run though, as we moved the chicks to the coop last week. After this is complete, I'll get back to finishing the exterior and a few trim pices on the inside.

Here are the most up to date shots from this morning. Painting still needs to be done and the 24 foot run will be constructed weekend/next week rain depending. The screening frames- two still need to be attached but the one is complete. The automatic door still has not arrived. Soon there will be chickens.

Very nice. Enjoy.

Thanks! You have a very impressive coop as well! Love your attention to detail! I still have a decorating to do on the inside, but the exterior of the coop will be finished after I get their secure run built.

This was our coop earlier this year just before we got the hens and they got their grubby little mitts on it!

My other half is a joiner so he was able to make it for me (proud as punch!). They all free-range during the day so only come in to lay and nibble on the pellets. :) Needless to say, it looks nothing like this now! Waay more shavings and bales of straw stacked up for them to play on. (Which they quickly dismantled and spread over the floor to give it that 'lived in' look) There is also a broody pen to the right and a dust bath to the left. It's come a long way in 5 months! Lol.

Loving all the other coops btw or should I say palaces? :)
