Here's a quick note with people out their raising chickens either to eat, or to breed, or to sell their baby chicks!!! I've been doing this for about 4 months now. Lots of time if your hen ain't sitting on the eggs then they ain't fertilize but if their too many hens, the hens that are laying eggs will scoot the other Huns eggs out, to have hers inside of the laying box. I have a 5 month old rooster and a Rhode Island hen to go with him, he tries n tries and he does his thing with his girl friend buy still no fertilized eggs. 14 weeks until they lay, n makes are 5-8 months to fertilize. Look for those signs n also a quick note, if their fighting in the same cage, they will be stressed out more, n the hens won't lay
