Greetings from "Ranchito Capistrano", our little ranch in San Juan Capistrano,

Hi my name is Matt. I'm a first time chicken owner with 9 hens (2 RIR, 2 BR, 1 BO, 1 BA, 1 EE, 1 BB, 1 Del) and 1 Welsummer Roo (that I need to give away, because it was suppose to be a hen) which are all are 9 weeks old. This is my new favorite site, and have gotten all of my questions answered and learned everything I know right here! Looking forward to meeting and talking to fellow chicken owners in south Orange County.

I grew up in Vermont so I know what you mean when you say cold Northern Michigan. That's why I live in Southern California, not fond of the cold anymore. smile
