ha ha fair enough! are your amaraucana chicks coming from a hatchery? They may be easter eggers, which are just as cool. I LOVE my easter eggers! But they always seem to be late to develop, and they always seem a bit shy and standofish until they hit point of lay for me...but then they become cuddly and sweet as pie. My orpingtons on the other hand, are pocket chickens from day one! Keep us updated, and keep the pics coming!

Yay! The 'Crack Shack" has a roof and is populated! The current tenants are more than a little rough around the edges (I'd sure like some feedback on my other thread ). I'll add a pick of the completed coop soon.

 

Here's the two top birds (they've figured out how to get up to the roost. I don't know if they took the ladder or flew)
