is there a "Bantam Mille Fleur"?

How pretty! Reminds me of a leopard print hehe.

As the above person said mille fleur is a color not a breed.  Most of these pictures are of bantams--d'uccles, d'anvers, cochins, OEG, etc.  You can have a large fowl chicken breed in the mille fleur color.

Love this thread!  I have three Mille Fleur D'Uccle hens and they are very entertaining.

This one is Damien.  (We thought she was a roo at first.)  She loves to pose smile.png

This may be a dumb question but is this breed similar/related to Russian Orloff chickens?

Well, if Mille Fleur is NOT a breed, and is simply a COLOR, then I don't know the breed of my chicks.... (Thank you Eggcessive!)

Hi! I just joined.   I believe the breed you have there is Belgian d"Uccle Bantam Mille Fleur.  I have some;  2 roos are available if anyone is interested.  I am in  NE Central Ohio.   My family has raised them since my firstborn was a young girl.  We just enjoy them so much and benefit from their excellence in getting the job done raising poultry for us (we have placed turkey eggs under  - what a sight when the hen raises up her brood!).

this may be of interest:

wish my bluetooth wasn't busted- I'd place photos onboard if I could.

Here are my youngest Mille Fleur Belgian D'Anver pullets, Mina and Lucy. Mina is 19 weeks, Lucy is 17 weeks. I prefer the D'Anvers to the D'Uccles because I'm not a huge fan of feathered legs. I also like the rose combs of the D'Anvers.

Mina:

Here is Ace, who is 14 weeks old now:

And, Aimee and Carly, who are co-brooding 5 Mille Fleur D'Anver chicksters (four are Aimee's and one is Penny's, who is molting so not in these pics). The babies are 16 days old now. This is Aimee's second batch this year, but Carly's first ever. The chicks are split for porcelain (sired by a porcelain rooster).
