Reptipro 5000 Hatch-A-Long (=

Have you calibrated your gauge? I calibrate mine before each hatch. I've not had humidity issues with my RP5000, with the door shut.
The humidity issues are not with the reptipro,
they are because of the fact I am leaving the door open a crack (for oxygen). I solved the problem by raising the humidity in the room. (placing bowls/pails of water all around.) I now have a consistent humidity of 26 with a calibrated gauge.

Just wanted to let you guys know that the ReptiPro 6000's are currently in stock. They go quick come spring time, so it is better to buy now (plus they are on sale!!) You can find them at ReptiPro.com or Incubators.org.

Thanks guys!

I am! My brand-new ReptiPro 6000 last Spring did one hatch and then flipped out and died on me, so they kindly replaced it over the summer. It was too late in the year for me to hatch again, so I held off with the new incubator until last month.

So far I've done two hatches staggered a week apart, and have had a 100% hatch rate on fertile eggs! Two more hatches are cookin' away in the ReptiPro, one is set to hatch Sunday the 13th, the other the 22nd. No problems with this incubator this time, it's working perfectly!

I've got pics of my chicks so far on my blog, here: http://jackshenhouse.blogspot.com/

And we're doing our annual Chickam webcasting all of the hatches and the chicks growing up, here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/chickam2008

I hope to have some Americaunas and bantam Cochin chicks in the final two hatches, as well as some crosses from our Brahmas and Giant Cochins!
