Another type of braid is the lace braid. It's a French braid, except you only add hair to one side. I LOVE braids!

Well, there's a few more (you might already know these):

Mermaid tail: A French braid down the centre of the back of your head, except adding small sections from the edges of your hair.

Cage Braid: Do a ponytail. Take 1/4 of your hair and braid it like a French braid, except it's in a ponytail, and you have to braid it down. Um, it's hard to explain. Pull the hair downwards while you braid it to make the things look like longer V shapes. When you're done, pull the base of the braid (just after whatever you used to tie up the ponytail) so that it meets the hair just above the ponytail's base. The braid should look like a ribcage kinda thing, but I'm not very good at explaining things, so I dunno if it'll work. If it does work, bobby pin/clip the braid up there. It should look kinda like this:
