21 week old EE sitting in nest box

HAHA! Caught her laying again in the nest box - she's laid an egg two days in a row for me! Green and blueish. I hope it ends up more blue - but I'll take the green too :) They are such pretty eggs. The egg itself is getting bigger as she lays. I also noticed my WLs eggs are getting bigger now that she's been laying for about a month. There's Smokey in the middle - for some reason she prefers that box. Weird how she'll just sit there for awhile after she lays it.

 
i know my little gals are doing the same it must be almost time for them to lay there 1st egg

i know with my older one thats what they did a few weeks before laying there 1st egg!!
 
They are so cute sitting in the boxes - I was worried I had a broody hen LOL!

I want one in the spring, not the winter.

I have 4 Lavender Orpingtons that will probably start laying late February or early March - can't wait to see the lines forming in front of the nest boxes. HAHA! Now I have 3 layers (out of 4 that are the right age) and only 3 nest boxes. So we'll see how it goes when I have 8 or 9 layers at the same time (who knows about those Silkies).
 
My Americana is just laying in her nesting box she has never layer an egg yet is she getting ready too I got her February 18th??
