Looking For Beautiful Breeds - Page 2

Silkies, Orpingtons, and my ALL-TIME favorite-my Mille Fleur d'Uccles! They have the calmest, sweetest personality of all my birds (from hatch day on...). My rooster is a very protective guy-he would take on my Orp rooster who is 5 times his size, if he could, but he is gentle with his ladies, and loves attention! The hens are all that way too! big_smile

Personally I think a beautiful breed is one with very unique characteristics -

Araucanas, Shamos, Polish, Sultans, Houdans, Malays, Asils, Cornish, La Fleche, Langshans, Brahmas, . . . Some examples.

Very true

Questions like this one usually  get as many different responces as there are breeds. What breeds are beautiful is going to depend on your personal opinion and taste.

Hatching eggs are no longer avaiable from any breeds until further notice due to predator problems and birds being too old .

Gotta mention Barnevelders!  Even though I am also in love with Orps (esp lavs) and Black Copper Marans and blue eggs, the Barnevelders are my first love!  Gold double lacing is so classy!
