HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh No, Jean . . . not again!
About once every two or three months, either when I get up in the morning, or sometimes when I get home at night, all my desktop icons will be totally scrambled - nothing where it used to be. I've never been able to track down the reason. I've even called Dell to see if they can help.
Being a total computer geek, here's what I would suggest: First, check your installed programs to see if any program updates were installed behind the scenes on your computer in the last 24 hours. If there is one and it isn't improtant, you might un-install it. The second option, which has become one of my personal favorites over the past couple of years, is to do a "System Restore". Your computer will suggest a date to restore back to, usually 24 - 48 hours ago. You don't lose anything, but it seems to reset programs - it always works to reset my desktop icons. My third suggestion, ff you have a security program installed that runs scans once or month or every couple of weeks, you might look and see when it did it's last scan. It may not like something that it sees with BYC.
I hope one of those helps.
