Hen or Roo?

This little one is 7 mos., very tiny, Serama, no crowing or laying yet.  Some have told me roo but I'm wondering if it is a hermaphrodite chicken???  DSC00451.JPGDSC00450.JPG

roosters have those long slinder pointed saddle and hackle feathers. he is deffentlly 100% cockerel smile.png

i am currently looking for sultans for my parents they keep asking me if i have seen for sale (birds or eggs) if you have any please pm me thanks.

i am looking for more d'uccles please pm me if you have any available (eggs only unless you live close to me), how much for a dozen, what colors you have, and if possable please send some pics of some of your breeders thank you

he is a rooster. He's not crowing because of your other  (more dominate) roo.

Because he does not crow, is submissive to other roo and does not lay eggs!!!!

Yep. that's a roo... and as others pointed out, sometimes when an older or more dominant Roo is already present, younger ones won't crow.

1 Awesome Girlfriend (who's also a chicken addict), 1 Easter Egger Hen, 1 Easter Egger/Leghorn Mixed Hen, 1 Black Ameraucana Hen, 1 White Frizzle Cochin Hen, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte Pullet, 2 Silver Laced Wyandotte Pullets, and a great little backyard chicken kingdom!

Oh! And just cause there is no eggs at seven months means nothing! My girls JUST started laying, and they are 8.5 months! Your guy is still all boy though :)

I agree My suprised Stay chicks eggs Hatched in july.. 9th.  so They are 6 months old now.  and I check daily for any eggs!!.. esp since momma is abviously Egg lying age!..  I"m DYING to try a fresh laid egg!! never ever ever had one before..  and im even more excited at tthe prospect of more babies!!!!

 

~1 husband, 1 Dog, 1 goldfish, 2 cats, 3 tadpoles, 4 ferrets, 5 kids 6, turtles, 11 chicklets and their momma hen,. I feel like I should Hear a EEEE iii EEE iiii oooooo  after all that
