Just like the title said. But was wondering where they might have gotten their stock. Are these rare in the U.S.?

Thanks

Quite a rare breed indeed, from my very limited understanding of them.

Fourth generation poultry breeder focusing on Kraienköppe- the breed that won my heart and replaced all others on my farm.

They are an awesome breed. I know know of 3-4 imports into the us.  there are 2 main import lines.  Lisa Richards has some nice birds over on the east coast.

Mine free range really well and fly, escape artists.... these would not mix with the urban chicken owners...

How did Sandhill acquired these birds?

I only know of three breeders but could it be Lisa's or Greenfire?

I don't think greenfire ever had Icelandics

mine are from the Behl lines.

Oh I got Icelandics confused with Swedish Flower hens from Greenfire! My apologies! idunno.gif

I am only aware of Lisa and nother BYCer having Icelandics. Never heard of Behl? It didn't ring a bell to me yet! Brain fart today!

I would really like to have some Icelandic chickens.  I live in Northern New Mexico.  Anyone out there have some for sale?
