I just discovered on Monday what bald eagles sound like.  They are so common around here, I hadn't given it much thought.  Heard a loud bird, and looked outside and there were two circling above my house!!!! Panic city! In went the girls, back to the coop!!!  They will get no free lunches on my farm somad.gif

I've got a bald eagle nesting area very close by (plus Osprey nesting).  They occasionally  do a fly-over, but they have never been much interested in the poultry.

I did have one turn and come over to take a closer look at my small dogs.  Apparently, just curiosity because all he did was look and not come back.

If the eagles do decide to snack on my birds, the poultry will stay inside their covered run to keep them safe.  Really, it's a simple and effective solution.  The eagle can't get the ducks if there is a cover over the ducks. Problem solved.
