Members pages may be an option. Reviews of poultry related items. And the list goes on and on once we get the other things worked out. Many options and nothing set in stone.

Gargoyles are set in stone.

Chickens poop on stone.

btw, I love the idea of context relevant member pages- i.e. pages of people who posted on the page you are viewing appear in the right hand sidebar.

We have decided that both GFMs and PPMs can turn off the reviews sidebar as well as the ads.

btw the link posted by terrielacy looks like the one I posted but it's not the same. For some reason hers has an extra couple of characters in it (not as it's typed but somehow it does).

this is the source of her link: http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/a/byc-memberships-help-support-backyardchickens
and this is the link I found : http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/byc-memberships-help-support-backyardchickens

you can see that hers has a /t in it after it's been clicked on. Weird.

Woot! :) Excellent. The option isn't there yet for me, but I think that's a good decision. :)

The stuff on the right-hand side slows my computer WAY down to the pont that it takes a minute or more to load a page!!!

I honestly do not mind the ads and reviews but I DO MIND the EXTREMELY SLOW PAGE LOAD TIMES!!!!!!

I often visited websites in the 1990's that loaded MUCH faster and more efficiently.

I find the management's attitude here to be highly patronizing and insensitive to the needs of rural residents and folks on lower incomes who may not have ultra-high-speed computers and connections...but who DO have chickens!!!!!!

I used to work in an auto parts factory, which is the reason for my handle.  Chickens aren't as heavy, but they're much more entertaining than auto parts!!
