Out free ranging, they love this straw bale!  The little lavender cochin Taffy is apparently War Chicken's (mottled bantam cochin roo) new flame, they are inseparable much to the dismay of Gumball the mottled bantam cochin hen who was his previous conquest, lol. Then one of our kitty Ziddler chasing mice from the nest box.  And no he has no interest in chickens, and he doesn't get to stay in the coop unattended:)

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

Thanks for sharing. Loved reading about the chooks and looking at their pretty feathers. The mottled cochin bantam looks so handsome.

Rusty is doing good, I can't remember if I told you but he did finally make it to his new home and is enjoying being king of the roost.  And he is actually crowing:)  Actually the lack of snow is pretty typical for Dillon, all the surrounding areas get it but ours just blows away.....Last year we actually had snow most of the winter but that was abnormal.  We do have extreme cold and wind though....
