Hi from NH!

Hi All,

We're very excited to have found this website.  We got 5 chickens about 3 months ago, and we just love our little girls.  Unfortunatley we lost 2 to a local bobcat over the past few weeks.  We've upped our security, and we now have 3 left - 2 plymouth rocks and a rhode island red.  We've had a mild winter so far in NH, and the first significant snow fell over the last few days.  They don't like the snow, that's for sure.  We're a little worried about the cold temps coming in tonight and tomorrow.  We're doing our best keeping the girls happy and healthy.  All the best from our coop to yours!  Looking forward to learning a lot!

When evaluating data one should always consider the source and remember, no one wants to make illegal that which he wants to do.

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan big_smile.png

it's very cold here too. Make sure your coop gets lots of ventilation to help prevent frostbite.

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
