Buff orpingtons

Hi again. A couple pages back I posted about how my line of BOs hasn't gone broody. I think I may have jinxed myself. One of my chicks from last year has been acting kind of testy and I just wrote it off to not liking the new pullets. Well this evening she took to a nest box and decided to sit on whatever eggs were in it.

She's still sitting and not on the roost. I don't even know how may eggs she's sitting on, although she allowed me to pet her as soon as I tryed to feel under her she went after my hand but not really a peck. Just enough to let me know she was not happy about it. I'll try and get a pic tomorrow, you know how cute they are when there gonna be ma mas.

Mine that I'm sure are pullets had tiny tails at first, but they got them befo
re the 4 I think are roos had anything resembling a tail!
I knew it! This happened to me too! I had gotten two at the end of March and one got feathers a lot faster than the other and she's a pullet and the other is a rooster. So, I went back and got two more and looked very carefully for ones that had slightly more feathers than the others. They were all only 3 days old so it was hard to tell but I think I got only pullets this time.

the one in the middle has a bunnie butt...the one facing away....the one on the far right has the tail feathers already in place...mine were like that. Are they both pullets? or is one a roo?

Sue
(yes im still obsessing)
