Keeping Guineas away from the Chickens - Page 4

Triplell...

How old were your guineas?

I'm wondering:

maybe mine were harvested before they got aggressive?

or maybe the French guineas aren't as aggressive as the regular ones?

Chookmama , My chickens will be 2 in April and the Guinea's will be 2 in June.  They started to get aggressive last fall.  I did end up shooting 3 of the males just because they attacked my chickens again and then the baby ducks when I let every one outside.  Then they wouldn't let my chickens in to their coop to lay.  I still have 3 of them 2 females and 1 male.  They have been very meek since I got ride of the aggressive males.  These can stay until they start to show aggression.   We had talked about putting them in freezer but it was to much work for just 3.  I hear that they tasted like pheasant?  I bought them to get rid of all the ticks but if I have to deal with the aggression then forget it.  How long did it take you to raise them for the freezer?
