I'm pretty sure my chickens hatched in the short bus!!!

Why oh why do half naked, moulting chickens decide to stand in the rain when it's cold outside????? Should I be throwing their silly half naked butts in the coop and blocking the door so they can't commit chicken suicide? I've seen them stand out in the rain, but not when they're half naked and it's 47*F out.

When I gaze down at a newly hatched baby I find it hard to believe there is not something greater then myself out there making all this happen.

I think ALL chickens have something to do with the short bus.

Mine have survived it, yours should, too. :)

Yeah…mine do it too sometimes. I'll be watching them thinking, you have areas that are coved. Why are you standing in the rain and what is quickly becoming mud? They aren't always the brightest. I let them stand out there. If they're cold enough or wet  enough, they'll go in. Mine do…after they've stood around and gotten soaked.

Mine do the same thing! And yet, when it's 110 degrees out, they run from a sprinkler like it's Hell's own coming after them lau.gif

Love those Orps!

I don't care why the chicken crossed the road, as long as mine don't!

I like to say that, while chickens aren't too bright, they're very good at being chickens!  I generally let them do what they want, when they want, even if I think they're being silly.
