sounds like your silkie pullet has something else in there. I have sizzles (frizzled silkies) they can be smooth and both parents can look silkie (but someone is actually frizzled). when I hatch them, 25% are silkie feathered, 25% are frizzle feathered, 25% smooth and 25% that hatch frizzle but turn silkie feathered. do you have another other silkie hens in this pen?

At any rate she has turned into a gorgeous girl who lays daily. She is out of a lav - gray pen so curious to see if she produces lav as my main cockerel is lav as well. Have some of her eggs growing in the bator now.
