I set 18 eggs yesterday. They were from an auction with a lady who had all her birds housed together so these are going to be a mix of breeds. Crele Penedesenca, Polish, and the Silkie ones are the ones I'm looking forward to the most. I can't wait till we all hatch and put up our pictures of the new babies smile.png

My chicken babies:1 Bearded D’ Anver Rooster, 1 Polish, 1 Golden Sebright, 1 Silver Sebright, 3 Easter Eggers, 2 Olive Egger Cross, 1 Red Laced White Cornish, 2 Barred Rocks, 1 White Leghorn, 1 Silkie, 1 Mille Fleur, 1 Porcelain D’ Uccle.

Other critters:

1 kitty, 1 rabbit, 4 dogs, Countless fish

and a Wonderful Boyfriend who makes our life complete.

How exciting, SHF! Do you house your turkeys with your chickens?

Pretty breeds, Delilah! Looking forward to the pics, myself. wink.png

I set my eggs this morning so am a few hours behind you, but would love to join. Just hatched my first batch, Monday/Tuesday now set 8 blue and black copper marans shipped from Ohio Russ as well as one bo, cuckoo maran and 2 mystery chicks of my own. Also have a broody sizzle that I may put some Cochin eggs under.

Well I didn't think about hatching out for Valentines Day but I would guess that I might have a few then too. love.gif  I am about a day  and a half behind you.  I just put them in at mid-night tonight Sun./Mon. I have to kind of go with my work schedule.  Still up trying to make sure the bator is at the right temp.  I had it all set up then the family moved it so had to start again. he.gif  I put in 4 Ameracauna eggs and 15 eggs from my LF Black Orpington show string.  I'll also put in any eggs I get tomorrow, I'd like to have 20 at least.  The Ameracauna eggs are my testers as I know they were fertile a few weeks ago before they went into molt.  I plan to candle next Sunday 1/29 on day 6-7. pop.gif  Have not hatched eggs in a bator for over 15 years.  See signature line on my latest adventures with chicks!  Will try really hard not to mess with it once it is set, using an LG I got for FREE, its a good price to me!  Humidity 34 & 39 check, temp. 99.5, 98, and 94 crud well I think I can stay awake another 1/2 hour, under is better than over.  This is my first hatch on BYC so, kind of excited to share this adventure with you all!  jumpy.gif

SuttonHeritageFarm can you incubate turkey eggs with the other two poultry varieties?

40 feedstore mixed flock layers, including 7 of last fall's unauthorized chicks, 11 SQ LF Black Orps, herd of 11 Maine-Anjou, Shorthorn, and Saler cattle, four cats, and one lazy, loud red healer!

Hatching/adding to my LF Black Orps, and some blues/splashes too. Working on self-blue project Orps & Speckled Sussex. Thinking about trying Diamond Jubilee Orps. Show season complete, points earned!!!
