Welcome Cayuse & Cowchick!    frow.gif

Cowchick whats the story on that sneaky hen and unauthorized chicks?

Just found this thread!  I set 37 EE/EO eggs (covered by a pure Ameraucana roo from Pips & Peeps) after I got off work - 12:30a Sunday morning.  They are from Charm1704 here on BYC.  I have a still air Hovabator with a turner.  Last year I hand turned & I'm relaxin' a lot more now but miss touching the little "treasure chests".  The eggs are GORGEOUS & I'm really excited to see if my hatch rate is better with the turner.  I'm not as worried about consistent humidity/temp.  But I'm still checkin' that sucker everytime I walk by & making my BF look when I'm working!!

Here they are "resting"  from their trip.

I agree with Corg, those eggs are beautiful!

I am green with envy. wink.png

I have seven or so EE eggs in mine but they aren't pure bred. I'm interested to see how they will turn out.

My sweet puppy, Maggie (1yo), 3 adorable baby pet rats, Darby, Lilah, and Faye, 3 cats, 2 bunnies, a goldfish named Ghoti (pronounced "Fish"), 1 Khaki Campbell duckling, 1 Magpie duckling, and lots and lots of chickens!

Thanks goes out to Charm1704!  The eggs are darker "in person".  And I'm crossing my fingers to get some really blue eggs from these hens.....I'm so hoping to get a good hen/roo ratio!  fl.gif   fl.gif

I'll be back with updates (& poss pics) when I candle at Day14 (if I can keep my hands off them that long!).

hahahahaha guinea pig egg. I'd like to see that...

I have two leghorn eggs in mine so they are my "guinea pig eggs" It's day two and I can already see a tiny dot in them!!

Yes I candled my leghorn egg on day two, don't judge me. Like I said, patience. tongue.png

This is soooo exciting! (I'm such a girl) *Squee*

Judge you?! HaHa  My kids had a flashlight taped up and begged to candle on Day One!! We tried candling a couple eggs today, but didn't see anything. Since we're new to this I don't want to toss any...just in case.
