Poultry Nipple Drinker Waterers water systems for duck chicken hens

I am trying to get this system going were I can use my hose with the pvc will need the nipples but do you have an idea how to make it work with the hose
 
Mine like this leak like crazy. HOW do you keep them from leaking? It's not the hole I drilled where it's coming from. It's the little metal thing they tap to drink the water. It's leaking from there. It's like the little metal balls they have in them aren't heavy enough or something. :(
