Speckles didn't make it.  They X Ray showed way to big of a mass of egg material, so the Dr. did not recommend surgery he said she was beyond that point.  He said he would email me the X Ray of Speckles then an X Ray of a normal chicken.  I'll post it if I ever get it.

Pet Chickens are like potato chips... You can't stop at just one.  God gave us chickens so we could laugh.

Sounds like she was egg impacted. Not much can be done about that. Sorry for your loss.

That egg was the strangest thing I've ever seen. I was just reading your story & hoped for the best. I'm so sorry to hear it went the other way. Sorry for your loss. hit.gif

2 Partridge Rock, 5 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Australorps hens, 2 Branham, 2 Buff Orpington 1 Turken (naked neck), 1 Araucana, 3 mixed breeds??? & 2 Silkie Rooster also a Golden Ret/Hound mix, & 1 Hosre.
