I just set old english game banties under my NHR.

I have six NHR girls and no roo.

I am thinking about keeping a bantie roo... will a bantie cover a full size hen successfully?

 

I'm a little early in the asking, but someone must have answer.

I believe that Bantam sized roosters can properly mate with Standard hens.

Yes.   My bantam Barred Rock successfully mates with my full-sized Red Stars.  Although he does struggle for balance sometimes. ;-)

I am not supposed to have a rooster, but I am kinda hoping for a little guy to protect/breed my girls now.

 

I met the flock these eggs came from and they are only about the size of a robin.

I can just see him strutting around the hen house with that look.... only 1/2 the size of my girls but full of his responsibilities as the protector and husband to 6 ladies and one old grandmother.
