Rooster Shaking Head

Hi All,'

I just noticed my rooster has started shaking his head. I didn't notice any mites on him and none of his girls are doing it. His waddle does seem a little discolored but I think it might be a bit of frost bite. Poor guy puts them rite in the water dish when he drinks.

Is there anything over the counter to use for a possible ear infection? I will take him to the vet if I have to but I would rather avoid the expense if I can.
 
Sometimes it is ear mites. You can use an eye dropper and ear mite treatment for dogs/cats. One drop each ear. Again in a few days. I am not saying that it is ear mites, but if no other sympoms show up it could be.
 
For what it's worth, my rooster did that too, after some frost bite. I just figured it must have stung or felt weird and he was trying to shake it off.
