Thanks, I have always loved that picture of the keet too!

#5 is a picture of one of my Slate hens. I like Violet too, I don't have any right now, but would love to find some!

HI, I'm Ashley, I'm 18 years old and I am the owner of almost 60 critters!-18 chickens--8 Indian Runner Ducks--1 Horse--3 Pygmy Goats--1 Peacock--About 20 Guineas.

Still pretty!

Slate is the lavender counterpart of Violet, I think. I think it works like this:

(wildtype gene)     (half dose solid gene)       (full dose)

- Pearl                Royal Purple             Violet (Mulberry) -

- Lavender             Coral Blue                              Slate -

-Buff Dundotte           Buff                             Chocolate -

I know, she is so cute. She used to be so sweet and now she is starting to pick on the little ones.

I picked 2, but thought they were all great

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
