Q: There is a link on this page labeled "password reset page" which links to the home page rather than a place to send an email as the text says.

A: If you are logged in, you will be redirected to the main page. IF you are logged out and forgot your password, you will be directed to the form to re-set it.

Q:  I was just wondering if with the new software it's possible to put in some kind of address book to PM people with? I love the way the mail messages stay attached to each other and open as one but an address book would just be so very Devine :-) <3 !!!! Thank You!!!

A: One of the awesome things about the PM system here is that you can start typing in a name and a drop down will give you choices to add to your PM. You can PM multiple people that way.

It is not an address book in the traditional sense, but it is like a built in one.

Q: When we switched to the new format in early January, I had no problem navigating, up-dating my profile, checking my subscriptions, etc. Email notifications of new posts to the threads I subscribed to were coming very regularly. Then on Sunday Jan. 22nd. "all" email notifications regarding subscription updates & PM's stopped. Please advise.

A: We are aware that some are having this problem.

Other than doing the things here

http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/622915/not-receiving-email-notifications/10#post_8302537

you can try unsubscribing and resubscribing and re-doing notifications settings to see if that kick starts the system for you.

Q: "Under the Breeds section there used to be a nice alphabetical spread sheet of all of the different breed of chickens with pertinent info organized.  Now all I can access is various ""articles"" about the breeds.  Do you have a link to that very well organized page?

A:  You click on the "Product" heading in the breeds section to sort them alphabetically.  Product.png

Q: I've noticed some members have customized text right above their avatar, but I don't see where to add it on the "My Profile" page.

A: Custom titles are a benefit for GFM and PPM memberships.  Here is the details on the memberships and prices.  http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/byc-memberships-help-support-backyardchickens

Q: Is there any way to get rid of advertising on side of page?

A: GFM members and PPM members have the ability to turn off advertising.  We cannot give this feature to everyone for free, as the advertising pays for the site.

Q: Are paying members the only ones who get what ALL MEMBERS use to have before change which was the ability to have more than 10 posts read at once?

A: As for the posts per page, that is currently a benefit of the PPM membership.  The changes to the benefits for non-paying members (which were PPM benefits before) include unlimited PM storage, unlimited photo storage, and the ability to create polls.

Q.  Love the updates but am finding that the site is running much slower than it used to (seems to be primarily the ads' load times, but also bogs down while typing / editing).  I was hoping speed would improve, but the site's just as slow as it was at the re-launch.  Thanks!

A.  This thread discusses several ways to speed things up:
