best meat bird?

Iam sure you will have differing opinions but id love to hear which bird you think is the best meat bird to raise?
It doesn't matter how your day has gone. Always go home with your head held high. Plucked, pounded, mistreated but still with dignity. Attitude is everything!!

good question, I hope you get some people that have raised different kinds for a comparison. I have only done cornish x for meat. would like to try a more traditional? breed. maybe Jersey giants? would like some idea on weather other breeds are as tender.The cornish x were very good and tender

one DH 4 great kids 9 wonderful grandchildren, 1 cat, 2 roosters and 30 hens......,Living my dream. Life is good!!  retirement is GREAT!

I like the Cornish Cross for chickens and the Pekin for ducks. Both have fast growth and excellent feed conversion.  They put meat on the table for less cost per pound.
