I live near Hoovers Hatchery and have bought a lot of different types of poultry from them and they are always in excellent condition and thrive very good. I plan on getting some more this spring. I think you would be very happy with their service. Excellent people to deal with.
 
I live in California and bought 25 chicks from them last week. They arrived the day after the ship out date. Out of the 27 that they sent only 1 died (two days later). They even color-marked the chicks and included a page explaining which chick is what color so you can identify the different breeds! Really great hatchery and will definitely purchase from them again!
 
My chicks were supposed to ship today and I didn't get an email saying that they shipped.. and my account wasn't updated either! Has this happened to anybody else? Did they still ship but forgot to inform me?? This is my first time with Hoover's and i dont know what to do!
 
Glad everyone have good luck with Hoover hatchery.. Not me!! Order 70 chicks and only got 67 and 3 DOA! Second day 13 dies.. All in all I lost 20 chicks in three days.
 
My local Theisens in Davenport, Iowa, orders all their chicks from them. They have chicks year 'round. I've gotten about a 1/2 dz so far this year. I've been getting different varieties and they are so fun.
