Hi rsleghornchicki and S&N Livestock frow.gifso nice to meet you!  rsleghornchicki, you sound like me, I have some buff orps set to hatch on Groundhog Day and I am so excited!  It's my first hatch and I'm on the edge of my seat!  I think my husband thinks I've lost my marbles cause I'm fussing over this incubator practically 24/7 big_smile.png

Hi and welcome-byc.gif from Ohio. So glad you joined. Good luck with your hatch. It does get a little easier each time, but the excitement and nervousness never seems to go away. thumbsup.gif

Always calibrate your hygrometer before you incubate!!

Thank you 4-H chicken mom, frow.gif nice to meet you!  I have been a nervous ninny over these eggs!  Part of them went into lockdown tonight.  I only have one incubator with a staggered hatch (2nd hatch within 6 days of the 1st) and didn't realize the humidity would be an issue towards the end.  Going to increase to 67% and bring it back down to 40% after the 1st eggs hatch and hope for the best. fl.gif  Needless to say, I've learned my lesson and won't be doing any more staggered hatches until I get a second incubator!

Thamk you!!!!! I used to have some buff orps. My sycho dog killed them while they were under 1 yearhe.gif  Now we have a very large assortment of about 30 chickens and every year we buy about 20 to showwoot.gif

If horses and mankind were crossed, it would improve the man but destroy the horse.

                          Looking for keets and dutch banties(eggs or chicks)
