using manure for fertalizer

So, Fred, even if the litter freezes, it counts towards your 60-90 days of "curing"?

I am using the deep litter method, with litter made mostly of leaves, with some pine shavings. I am thinking of removing just the litter under the roost for composting, since my leaves are collected in the fall, so I have some benefit to the garden this year.
I was going to basiclly ask this same question.
I don't plant until the end of May so I can dump fresh chicken poo on the garden soil and even though it will be frozen solid for some time it still is "ageing" and as long as I stop adding it by the end of March it's safe?
I have a compost tumbler and have been adding the poo with kitchen scraps and it's all frozen and cannot be turned, it is also full now! so my plan was to just start dumping directly into the garden soil.

Actually, each state has it's unique descriptions of upper, lower, up-state, down-state, upland, lowland, etc.

The UP is upper.  Northern refers to the northern Mitten portion.;)

My brother has taught history to Jr. High schoolers. I'm sure some younger ones need to look at a map to see what state you mean. They made him want to beat his head against the wall with their geography skills, or lack of them.

But if you're where I am, Planting time is only a few weeks off! And it was 80 yesterday which tempted me to plant but when it's like this we inevitably get a late freeze.
