Welsummer first egg! (Pic)

After much (!) fuss this girl finally created an egg. She tried several nests, one that already had two birds in it, and ended up on the pine shavings. Whatever!

I sure love that nice deep brown color of the egg! I think its hilarious seeing 2 or more hens cramming together in one nest box! lau.gif All of my girls have their own "special" nest box that no one else can use!

looks big for a first egg too.  What a cute picture of the crowd in the nest box.

Mum to 5 grown humans, Nanna to 2 grandsons, sharing my life with 1 Cairn Terrier, 1 Maltese Terrier cross, 5 Brown Shavers, 1 Bantam/Plymouth Rock cross, 2 Light White Sussex, 2 Houdan, 2 Frizzles, 2 Australorp, 2 sebright bantams, a half dozen bantam crosses and my DH without whom my life would be boring.

We live in New Zealand
