Where to buy Muscovy ducks?

Country Hatchery will in OK. But you have to get them ordered now as they usually have them backordered. . They will only do straight runs. The owner is a doctor and he's been in the business since the 60's. Knows his stuff.

Muscovy are notorious bad shippers though. much harder than other ducks to ship. Try looking locally or gettings eggs.

X 2 Try putting an ad in the for sale section on BYC. There is someone in CO that has Muscovy on BYC I just can't remember who.

Well I was talking to a good poultry friend of mine, and they said that they ordered 10 from the county hatchery in OK and they said that they arrived a.okay to Colorado in December, So I went ahead and ordered 12 from them, and the phone operator I spoke to said that they should do fine. Fingers crossed!

I am in southern Arkansas and got 16 from Country Hatchery yesterday, and they are doing great despite a mixup at the USPO.

When I got mine last spring from Country Hatchery in Oklahoma one was a little wobbly but I kept giving her sips of water and then holding back for 10 minutes then giving her more water and then holding back again until she was hydrated. If you give them a lot of water when you first get them and they are dehydrated it will kill them. So you have to slowly hydrate them.

All 12 of my Muscovy ducks from Country Hatchery survived their shipment. Now they are about 10 months old and very healthy ducks! Only problem is they only do a straight run at Country Hatchery and if you get more drakes then ducks it could be a problem. I ended up with 7 drakes and 5 ducks. But I ended up finding some local Muscovy girls last fall so it evened out okay.

Be ready to get a phone call from your post office at 6 am to pick them up!
