Welsh Harlequin Breeding Thread - People who are breeding or want to breed their WH's talk

I'm so sad... :hit I had to pull the plug on my SWH shipped eggs... nothing happening except for one blood ring. The seller is replacing them, I am soooo grateful to her. Thank you.

So nice the seller is replacing them!! Good luck with the next batch.

And speaking of WH shipped eggs, where have those of you that have incubated WH shipped eggs had success buying them from? I have a gal who goes broody often and I am counting on her going broody this spring and I want to put some WH eggs under her - I currently only have one WH and am very much wanting to have more.

@Homesteadin I ship Welsh Harlequin hatching eggs. I am in the Charlotte NC area. PM me if you are interested in learning more. :) My birds are initially from Metzers.

These are my babies hatched on April 9th this year. Along with some Runners. The SWH eggs were shipped from Sfraker in NC. Hatched 10 of 12 .

What traits would you look for when selecting a breeding WH drake? How upright and chunky should they be?

I have 3, 15 week old WH drakes all hatched from eggs bought from a top breeder in Wales. They all have the correct colouring, but I'm struggling to choose which drake to keep based on its body type.
