Thanx.  Love the  happy stuff.  It's been a little sad to read about so many chick troubles.  So I am enjoying your happy hatching chick.  Do all EOs hatch yellow?

All of my EO Marraduna Basque were Yellow. They are getting white with black or white wing feathers and some are getting orange colors on them. They are little eating machines. They complain if they run out for even a minute. Last night one of them started chirping loudly in the Brooder after the room darkened, so I had to check to see if they were hurt. One of them was standing on the Ecoglow, so I picked him up and held him for a minute. I had to pick some more up and then touch the heads of the ones peeking out at me from under an ecoglow 20).

All was quiet after that. I think they missed me. smile.png

You're only two short hours away.............assuming you don't have to chain up first like right now, or white knuckle it through the ice!

Hahaha!  I've white knuckled it over that pass too many times already!  I keep telling DH that he is not gonna talk me into driving over it during a storm ever again!  But somehow it still keeps happening.  I don't know why but his boss expects him to be there come Monday.     hmm.png     I think this work thing really gets in the way of life!

Sometime when we are heading over the hill to visit kids we will have to stop in and say "Hi".  Are you close to 80 or do we go through Lassen forest?  We take 80 a lot and go through Lassen a couple times a year.

Jeez!!!  You folks are killing me!  Ron it's like you knew how many stores I went to this week looking for asparagus and you are just torturing me now!!!        th.gif

I got a huge bag at Costo.  It only took us three meals to eat them all.  We're now working on the giant bag of brocolli..............gotta love bulk shopping!

I remember those days.  With just the 2 of us it doesn't really work anymore but we used to do that a lot.  Came in real handy when the boys were teenagers and always seemed to bring at least 3 friends home with them on a daily basis.  I love feeding people so that's cool but the grocery bill was outrageous!

Ok i have a question...the inner membrane of this egg still looks pretty veiny but where it pipped is a huge gash but no blood.  Does the inner membrane still look veiny even after all the blood vessels have retracted?  I'm afraid to cut into to it and hurt him but he's acting like he's ready to come out.  Getting louder and louder.

Proud Navy Wife, Army Veteran, mom to KK- 3, and V- 6 mo., 1 Boxer- Hurley and hopefully some fuzzy butts soon!

How long has it been pipped?  How big is the pip?  Has it zipped at all?  If it can not move inside the shell to zip, it will not be able to hatch by itself.

I would leave it alone and let it hatch on it's own.

When I saw the prints in the driveway my first thought was coyotes, but when I thought about it, it didn't make sense. It was simply a kill. It wasn't for food. We were lucky that her sister was in the house. SSS is now in effect at our house.

Purry didn't go down without a fight. If she had, it just wouldn't have been like her. Here's a pic of her from last year. I'll miss her.

15 yrs old?  I'm so sorry!   hugs.gif  Very pretty cat.  :(
