It must be very cute with the "legs"!!

I think someone needs to post a pic of this thoughtful gift!!

I keep meaning to do that.  Now I want to see the yellow "footed" one though.   cool.png

Here ya' go!

I hope it's closer to 3/7!  Their combs seem to be growing by the minute.  There are still 2 I am not sure of, but I am steeling myself for 4/7 roos.  I think I'm okay with it, though, because I realllly want an awesome rooster to use for my EO breeding and my planned crossbreeding.  If I can get a solid trio with an awesome roo, I will be thrilled. fl.gif fl.gif

It's funny - I set my next batch of chicken eggs the day after Easter, and I am locking down tomorrow.  Time flies! jumpy.gif

I locked down tonight.  ANd because of staggered hatches, I'll be hatching cuties weekly!

Yes, he looks like he's wearing rainboots!

out of my 35 surviving chicks, I see three definite roos so far. Obviously there will be more.. (probably a LOT more), but three are pretty much definite. :)

I sold a couple straight run, the 38 I have left look like 15 boys and 23 girls, yay!

Deb

The difference between breakfast and chicks, is the temperature you use to "cook" the eggs!

What breeds do I have?  More than any sane person would own.

Deb, I so need to get a current pic of Scampi so you can give me the news on the sex.....based on behavior...I'm thinking male....sad.png    I have three of the "nomad" group that are looking good at this point....hoping all three hatch!  fl.gif

Okay, took one and no one posted so editing this post with a pic of Scampi......Golden Campine hatched from eggs from debs_flock during this Hatchalong....

Yes, just post a picture, they are pretty easy to sex.  The comb/wattles grow quickly and very dark pink very early on the boys.  They stay small and pale on the pullets.

Now out of everyone I sexed today, the two icelandics were kind of a shoulder shrug for me, I'm leaning towards both girls. caf.gif  So I'll have to wait and see what happens.

Is that picture from today?  I'd say pullet.

Tomorrow I'll post a picture of a cockerel and a pullet from my Easter hatch.  The difference is pretty obvious.
