I was so worried that they wouldn't develop after being unplugged for who knows how long. Next week I hope to move our newest hen (the one that showed up in the yard) out with the RIRs. She had leg mites but the scales on her feet still don't look normal. I need to move her so that the chicks from my last hatch can go in the cage we have her in and I can clean out the brooder.
how did you treat her legs?? can I see a pic of her legs??

any ways, a red heat lamp is good to have, it does not stimulate them as much as white light, so they wont be running around and pecking each other. The red glow of the lamp helps calm them down, giving them enough light to see, but not enough to make them crazy Good luck
, everyone here is a chicken addict
, people may look at you weird when you tell them, but its way better to be addicted to chickens then all the other stuff out there.............
