Happy Sunday all!

I am back from a Pump it Up b-day party for Pastrymama's boy. I am dog-tired.

BTW--if you ever have to run an obstacle course wtih Pastrymama, be aware: she cheats.

It's alright though, because I won anyway.

I got the styrofoam incubator out today and got it all cleaned up and running then figured since it was going I might as well go ahead and puts some eggs in lol.png I had 11 saved for the Hatch-a-long so I put those in to test lol I planned on using it as a hatcher and doing the bulk of my incubating in the Eco 20. I have more eggs coming by mail and from a local lady this week and I am sure my girls will give me another dozen by Saturday. I can't wait for little fuzzy butts running around!!

Raising 2 Daughters, Daisy(Black Lab Puppy) 5 Tamworth Pigs, Lavender Orps, and Split Black Orps all with the patience of my wonderful Husband!

Hey everyone! I'm home and caught up. I'm soooo tired. I DID get to go fishing, but we did have any bait so I ended up using a lure (which I never use) and ended up catching a bass that was too small to keep. Then I caught one that big enough, but just as my dad was reaching for the line it got away.... right off the edge of the bank. Oh well, we came home with 5 good sized bass. I'm happy.

Chickens: 4 RIR, 1 HRIR roo, 1 BA hen, 13 AGF, 2 BA/RIR, 1 EE. Ducks: 1 Mallard drake and 8 little Coturnix quail. Everything else: 6 dogs, 6 cats, a pot bellied pig and one stubborn Mustang that rules the field!

Living happily with Blu and our son on the way.

RIP Ducky and Bob

You make me want to go catfish fishing. Bait the hooks, throw line out. Crack drink on pier. Relax until pole starts to bounce.

... I wonder if Maine has catfish?

Why don't you try the pepper trick?  It seems there is no real reason that it should work but there are lots of people who swear by it.  I've heard cayenne pepper and I've heard black pepper.  Maybe someone can tell you which and how much.  I think I might try it myself, I have 10 hens and 11 pullet/hens that should be laying by now but I only get 5 - 8 eggs a day.
