Oh no! Horrible thing to come in here to. kvmommy I hope since you haven't come back in for a little while, it just means you've made that call and everything is fine, just taking time to explain some hazards and safety to the kids. I have a lot of kids and man they could keep me on my toes and terrified at times. I swear you can hang things from the cieling and they can still get to them. Hope your babies are doing alright.

I have a Brinsea Spot Check Thermometer.  It's spot on.

It actually did go up to 97.4... but I'm thinking that's cuz it's getting warmer in the house.

Thanks for the concern and advice!  I knew it wasn't mercury but an alcohol thermometer but I was worried about the beads containing lead.  I got my cell charged enough and called poison control.  The beads steel shot but probably have lead, but not enough to cause lead poisoning.  Thank God!  They said he'll be totally fine and I'll probably find some beads in his poop.  I'm seriously thinking about getting a landline since my cell phone can't hold a charge more than a few hours and half the time its dead.  wow....what a day.

i will be kepping her in my prayers that she is ok and has no ill effects from the beeds

Goodness, Mahonri, you are experienced enough of a hatcher to know the temp fluctuates, especially for the first 24 hours!  Breathe....  Gosh I love you a ton, particularly because YOUR fluctuations help keep ME sane!!!

Doh!  I could have found that myself, being a regular Brinsea customer, but THANK YOU SO MUCH!  I don't know how long it would have taken me to figure out I could order more.  roll.png

Ordered.  Will install them the moment I get them home from the UPS Store/post office - my mailing address.  No residential mail here in this part of Somerset.

And it SNOWED overnight!  I have been taking pictures.  I got my snow!  I got my snow!  wee.gif   The geese and ducks have been out patrolling in it, while the chickens are staying MOSTLY on the porch, under the deck, and in areas where there isn't any snow.  Not a lot here, I'm at 2200 feet.  But I got my snow!!! Pictures to follow, some here, and more on my Home In The Foothills thread.

And here in North Central Ohio it is 75* in middle of March. Supposed to be 78* on Tuesday. Don't know what is up with weather but I have a bad feeling I'll be melting all summer.
