It probably is much too early, but figure the worst that can happen is to have replant the three, four foot long rows [and I'll plant the rest of the 30 foot rows, plus others, later anyway]. If it turns out to be a freaky, early spring and summer, there is a chance I may have the first corn-on-the-cob around.
I quit growing peas back in the 80s, too many early heat waves cutting the season short made buying fresh frozen seem the thing to do, and a good asparagus bed provides plenty of pea like flavor to put up in place of peas. Most of my garden will be in the three sisters this year, with some tomatoes and melons on the other end.
