So here it is our nearly seven foot long baby brooder in some of the pics you can see the GREEN house brooder where they go when they first hatch then at about a week or so they go into the big kid brooder....easy to clean you just scoop out shavings with a dust pan.The light can be lowered or raised for less or more heat and we even change out lights to lower wattage on bulbs for older babies...the little shelves make storing things easy and convenient

Eeeeeeeeek! My friend had mice and he would get mites on his hand from time to time. He said they weren't that bad. But I knock on wood have never had my girls get mites. Hopefully they never will.big_smile.png

????

I think I may be able to get this stupid form to work for me. We'll see.

I still may be setting quail, but I guess this 21 eggs is a no, so I'll just leave them off.

You can count anything you set by tonight.  I was able to get to it via the link that Mahonri posted.  IDK why I couldn't get to it the other way.  Try it!      big_smile.png

I love the macrame netting Sueg!  Very practical too.  Keeps flying predators out and keeps flying chickens in.  We are in the process of tenting our runs but they are huge so I just bought a bunch of deer netting.  I am going to sew it together and then cover the run tent-style.  We are waiting on a delivery for 12' posts for the main poles.  It will ne nice and tall but it won't be nearly as colorful.  I love the bright cheery colors on yours!

Oh my gosh that brooder is adorable chick-among-us!!!  I saw one that Cheryl Cohen had done in a pic she posted.  Also very adorable!  Such creative folks we have on BYC!!!

Was a youth group leader for the high school kids some 30 years ago (makes me feel old!) and there was a kid in the group and his last name was Bates.  He called himself Master Bates.  He wouldn't giggle, but it made all the other boys giggle!

Nah, they should have been set before the chicken eggs so that they would hatch Easter Weekend.  It's right there in Post #1 with set times for most poultry.

I bet!  I taught elementary school and the kids just love humor like this.  I used to say how much I enjoyed teaching 5th and 6th graders cause they were so easy to make laugh.  Especially during the lessons on the human body.  They would get irate with me and say that I couldn't make them laugh!  I would just whisper (with a totally straight face) "diarrhea".  It worked everytime!

KABOOM all over my face, me, my clothes and talk about STINK... I came real close to vomiting.  I put it in a plastic bag, threw it in garbage, threw all my clothes in the washing machine and hit the shower.  talk about yuk... and DW was not happy about the smell in the den....but it didn't explode in the bator. Thank the good LORD.

(when I was a kid, on the farm,  I got exploded on more than once)  too bad I forgot those experiences until I got exploded on again February 3rd.

Two questions:

  1. Did it stink before you opened it?  sickbyc.gif  NO!
  2. Who is MN that keeps calling you so early?   hide.gifYOU HAVEN'T READ THE THREAD!

Hope your burns are doing better today!   fl.gif

I so appreciate all of the prayers. I've been in some pretty significant pain today, but my wife say she thinks they look like they are finally starting to heal. I hope so.

It is such a long process.  Is it pinking up yet?

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????
