As for the other, I would think that your DH would want you to have anything that keeps you happy, especially since he can't be there to do that.  I would also think he has his decisions to make about his job and the way he spends his time away from those responsibilities and you have your decisions to make about your's. 

 

I have told the stories before, but my DH wasn't happy when the chicken math kicked in.  He walked around with a chip on his shoulder once he thought I had bought two many chicks.  He said angrily, "You spend all your time out there at the coop, and when you are not at the coop, you are sitting at the computer, reading about chickens!"  I said calmly, " Okay, Honey, I'll find a new hobby, I've been thinking of taking up bar hopping."  I didn't get any more attitude about my birds. 

 

Then there was the time he tried to play the money card.  In reference to the 12 straight run chicks I brought home from the feed store, he said, "Just how much did all those chickens COST?!?"  To which I again calmly replied, "A dollar each, so $12 - How many game cameras do we own?"  He turned around and walked off.  The answer is somewhere around 8, at $150 +, each.  Poor man.........

This morning I checked on the pips in the bator, and thought "OW! My nose hurts." I went to the bathroom, and sure enough--I have a big old zit on the end of my nose.
Apparently, when I check on the eggies, I am (quite literally) pressing my nose to the glass in anticipation.

Oh Deb, those little fuzz butts are adorable!  Word of caution, I had some of the LF WCB Polish and they are predator magnets (and are either spacey or dumb as rocks) The girls were the first to be taken while still pullets, they wouldn't run from anything, the roo would run and hide if it was anything new, but would square off at my shoes.  I finally gave him away.  I loved the look, but probably will never have a free range flock of these.
