I've been thinking of Laree all day and hoping that all went well with the funeral.

Didn't get out to get pics taken... too many other things to do.  Pool is the cleanest it's been in months. If it weren't so cold, I would have taken a dip... I did walk in, down to the 2nd step and turned right back around, up and OUT!

Got dinner in the pot ready to put into the oven tomorrow morning... sent DS#4 to the store for some odds and ends, got my Sunday School lesson ready for tomorrow.  Watched the Wizard of Oz with my little girl.  Brought back memories of when I was her age... used to scared the crap out of me when the wicked witch was chasing Dorothy and the gang.

Burns are healing. SLOWLY.  Had only one pain pill in the last 48 hours so I think I'm doing good.  I hope I can sleep.

Mahonri...you could always unofficially candle by just shining the light at the top and not actually touch the eggs.  And only do a few.  wink.png

But...that reminds me.  So...I heeded your story about the burns. Yesterday,  I put a cooked tuna steak in the microwave for only 45 seconds.  I heard a small pop and thought ok, i'll get it out now before the 45 seconds.  I grabbed a hot pad so I didn't get burned like you even though I thought 45 seconds can't be that hot. Took it out, went to get a fork, came back... I put my fork in it in and...POP!  It exploded.  My ears rang for about 15 minutes from the concussion and I was covered in little burning bits of fish, so is my kitchen (I can't get it off the ceiling) And my glasses were covered in fish...soooo glad I wear glasses.  I had little red spots all over my face and neck, but those went away after a few hours.  And my hands that had the hot pad were fine!  lol But I am officially terrified of microwaves now.

Some of my five WCB Polish chicks have flat tops.  I guess the crest feathers are coming in (I can see the pink shafts) and there's still chick fuzz on the sides.  Looks pretty funny.

Buncha Outdoor PET chickens, ducks, two Toulouse ganders, and four turkeys. Plus 2 wiener dogs, some bunnies and a rescue cat which owns me. Oh. And a house silkie....

We do movie night on Saturedays. A month ago I picke up The wizzard of Oz  for my boys to se for the first time. Figured by ages 8 and almost 10 they could handle the scary parts. The best part is they now recognize quotes and the music. THat movie used to scare me--those flying monkey things and that creepy wicked witch!!

I've been out working in the yard, went shopping to Costco, fixed myself a couple tomato sandwiches.  YUM.

I still need to take a run to the feed store for antibiotics and pine shavings.  Still need to take pics of some of my chickens I'll be putting up on Craig's List.  I found some drops for pinkeye for the chicks but you have to have a prescription for it. sad.png  I hate having to go through a "middle-man".

I can't believe how feed prices have gone up.  We will all have to start charging more for our eggs soon.

It's a gorgeous day out there!

At Costco, regular gas was 3.87 a gallon!  No wonder everything costs so much!

Dang, I'm feeling like a nap, but I've got to get stuff done.

Have a great Saturday!

Luv y'all,

M

I just had my doc call it in- they trust my diagnosis. I failed to mention the pink eye was on a chicken...

I looked at a few of my eggs, and I do wonder why I try, the LED flashlight is greta for brown eggs but not blues and marans eggs. sad.png  Some have a decent air cell and some have no visible air cell. I'm dry incubating and lost my %RH thing. Most are developing.celebrate.gif  I didn't check all , just spot checked  a few.  Always stressful.
