When I microwave something liquid, I always use a spoon or a skewer to disturb the liquid before I grab the dish.  I've done that ever since I read a story about a man who was partially blinded after his coffee exploded in his face.  Scary.

But...that reminds me.  So...I heeded your story about the burns. Yesterday,  I put a cooked tuna steak in the microwave for only 45 seconds.  I heard a small pop and thought ok, i'll get it out now before the 45 seconds.  I grabbed a hot pad so I didn't get burned like you even though I thought 45 seconds can't be that hot. Took it out, went to get a fork, came back... I put my fork in it in and...POP!  It exploded.  My ears rang for about 15 minutes from the concussion and I was covered in little burning bits of fish, so is my kitchen (I can't get it off the ceiling) And my glasses were covered in fish...soooo glad I wear glasses.  I had little red spots all over my face and neck, but those went away after a few hours.  And my hands that had the hot pad were fine!  lol But I am officially terrified of microwaves now.

Hmmmmmm.... I think I'll go with online poultry show.  Hobbies is a good idea, too.  It doesn't really seem to be a perfect fit anywhere, but at least poultry show is used to contests.  Off to make the poll... caf.gif  (Wait, I think I need more coffee...)

Has the new format made us all that much more "invisible"?

What do you think is the reason?

HOw can this thread be invisible??  It never leaves the top few lines of the incubating section. Maybe a head liner or banner slot in the section that show the POW ??
