I love my buffs too, they aren't really anything I need to keep but they are just such awesome eye candy!

Sorry...had to vent.

I know these situations are hard and I know that it is hard to offer advice when you are not really part of the issue, but please tell her that SHE is not the reason that he is having issues, and that SHE is not the "fix."  It's okay to let the children visit and support him while he is getting help.  The kids don't need to see him hurt and not in control.  It is okay for her to tell him that she wants him to get better for the sake of the kids, but she should not move back with him while he gets better!  I have seen this happen time and time again (in my line of work) and the person who threatens to kill himself will only be harmed if the spouse comes back for that reason.  He must get better to have any chance of getting her back.  He must get better without her there so that he doesn't think he can only be "right" if he has her.  He must get to the point that he will be okay even if she doesn't come back, before she should even entertain the idea of going back.  She should only decide to go back if it is because all of his issues are behind him and he is the man he should be for himself first, and that she needs to be with.  I'm sorry to butt in but I hate to see her mess up and go back because of all the drama.  It would not be the right choice, I promise.

I talked to USPS today. THere service could be quite a bit better . . . and I'll leave it at that for now, so I am on the look out for a regular supply of quality boxes and "major foam"--do you purchase or scavenge??

I use specially made foam from fowlrus- pm her and she'll send you some! It fits perfectly into the #4 shipping boxes you get free from the PO, which I then put into a #7 box with MORE cushioning around it. Anyone who got eggs from me have pics?

Simple: Tuna steak smeared with miso, baked. I like to leave the miso on for a couple of hours or so beforehand so the flavor really reaches in, and I love to serve it with fresh greens and lemon-almond basmati. MMMMmmmmmmm!

Here is the foam inside the box.  The little inserts cusion the ends of the eggs.

Happy last day of March.

I am trying to get some things in order for the hatch, before the work week starts up again.
Set up the brooder
Glue the black sheet back onto the ecoglow (Brinsea says super-glue will be fine)
Clean dusty feeder and waterer
Buy feed
Find an old branch to throw in the brooder, along with a dish of sand

Tonight, candle the eggs and throw out the duds.
Anything else I should be doing? (Besides laundry, etc.)

Oh, and change the calendar.
