Feeling like a fool - what sex Silkie?

I can usually figure out sex with no problems, but I'm stumped this time.  This is my first Silkie.  We have owned him/her since September, believing it is a cockerel.  Lately I have been doubting that.  No crowing (though he lives with a dominate showgirl roo), I did hear him singing an egg song this week and also scratching in the coop like making a nest hu.gif but the comb looks male to me.  So silkie experts, I need help.  Excuse his dirty face, dew and dirt baths have painted him LOL  if you need more pictures, just let me know.

I'm thinking pullet. The crest is nicely rounded, and I don't see any streamers.

I would say definitely a pullet.

It's usually not accurate if you only look at one characteristic. I think the crest is the most reliable, and the presence of streamers, but if you say it's showing female behaviours too, then even more likely a pullet.

I've got silkies that I'm still trying to figure out what sex they are.

The best way to tell is to wait.

Good luck finding another rooster.
