Lost Buff Goose

My Buff Goose didn't come in tonight.  I went out and found her dead in the pond.  Not sure what happened.

Was there any blood as far as you could see?

And welcome-byc.gif it's good you joined!

Sorry to hear of your loss. sad.png

Do you think something was wrong, or a predator?

It sounds like a hawk tried to attack, huh?

I doubt it's a hawk.  Do you have any other geese or a gander?

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I know how it feels. I have lost 3 of my geese the last couple of weeks to a cat.  I caught one bobcat, but there is a big male that I have not been able to snag yet. I set new traps tonight using the body of my beautiful lavender goose that he killed last night as bait. I have my fingers crossed.

Oh my goodness you guys, this is awful.  I am so sorry to hear you lost your animals.  That is so sad.

No blood, she was just floating completely soaking wet.  I am wondering if it happened during mating.  I had a duck a few years ago drown while mating.

Oh the poor goose . . . hope you can figure out what is going on.   And hope that bobcat gets caught!
