Is this thread still going?  I'm eventually going to learn to post pictures; I'd like opinions on my Ameracauna pullet and my 2 white <hopefully> female juvies . . .

I have a pure rumpless auracana roo I would like to breed with my hens. It will be our gist time, and we intend to incubate. I have a black copper Maran, a barred rock, and an amaraucana w/ beard and muffs.. Would I end up with ee?

I'm new on this subject and was curious why if both parents are ameraucanas why they wouldn't breed true if the roo isn't also white? It would be an EE even if both parents are ameraucanas? Thanks smile.png

Its all I the feather color there are standards in what the bird looks like you can know it is true but if it doesn't meet the color expectation they can't go to exhibitions

I have a question, my eggs I ordered are hatching today and tomorrow. I ordered 3 Easter eggers and the eggs are very blue I didn't realize but after reading this I'm thinking they could be ameraucanas?? Could they, or is it to early to tell? Only one hatched so far. The other eggs I ordered were buff orpingtons and black australorps, could the blue eggs still be EEs???

I recently got 2 ameraucana hens or so they said they were. So far the to are very sweet cute and fluffy. This morning one flew in to my brooder with my polish chicks and didn't mind the change of scenery. All th chicks were cool with it. So mine seem to be very friendly and inquisitive

All Ameraucana chickens should be docile.  For much more info check out the FAQ pages on my Fowl Stuff site and our Ameraucana.org site.

We also feature photos of all the different recognized varieties of Ameraucanas as day-old chicks and adults on our Ameraucana.org site so you can easily compare the colors and patterns with your birds.
