Many are called... few are chosen.  big_smile.png  wink.png

I'm not sure why it would go away, but I'll see if I can figure it out.  Anybody else having similar problems or anybody having success?

Well I'm not sure if this is a problem or success, but I have been offered it 3 more times, but once was on a different computer. Twice more at home, but after rebooting, once.

I just got picked for the fifth time on the same computer...and I have taken it once...

I have five hens and two pullets- one seven year old red star, Luna, one white leghorn, Sage, one SLW, Pepper, one adorable fluffy EE, Bedazzle, and one black star, Buckbeak. My two pullets are Nutella, my wheaten marans, thirty five weeks, (who is yet to lay an egg!), and her best friend, Sammy, seventeen weeks.

I'd be willing to take it but I use Adblock Plus and never see pop ups or ads.

I did take the survey (or started to). It wasn't about forum usability, or poultry experience, or any thing else that I'd like to share. It was looking for demographic info that would help advertisers, not really directly help users.

Blue & Splash Ameraucanas

Salmon Faverolles

Cuckoo, Blue Copper & Black Copper Marans

Blue Swedish Ducks

Muscovies with a death wish

English Shepherds

Depends how you define "directly help users," I guess.  Lots of folks have expressed a wish for more chicken-oriented ads, as well as more ads that are likely to be suitable for our members.  It's also a bit of feedback to our advertisers, which hopefully will encourage them, and which (as already discussed at length) has lots of benefits for members.

I was only asked one question: what is my age. I answered then the survey stopped, and it said ' thank you for helping our website!' well, now i feel like i just gave away my age for no reason. I was about to start a thread here explaining that i was given a survey and all it wanted to know was my age. I don't like giving that away, but i was curious what the rest of it was. but there was nothing else. Now that i know there are more than one question, i am kinda wondering what that was all about.. Were all the questions personal? :/

There was a page of checkboxes for hobbies. I remember golf being listed, and some of the 'usual' survey options like 'shopping. I don't think they asked about poultry/gardening as an interest.

I remember being asked my age group, with checkboxes for the age groups.

One question asked for family income, with checkboxes for the options. That's when I hit the x in the top right corner.

When people fill out this information it helps them recognize their audience better and better serve them. As well as at the end where you can give ideas to help your experience at BYC.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
